INGREDIENTS

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
4 cups flour (sifted)
¼ tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg

PREPARATION

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream together, sugar and butter. Add eggs, beating well after each addition.

Sift flour, cinnamon and nutmeg together.

Gradually add the sifted ingredients to the creamed mix; blending well after addition, chill for 1 hour.

Roll dough, a little at a time, on a well floured board to 1/8 in. thick. Cut out shapes and repeat. Place on a cookie sheet and decorate with candies.

COOKING

Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes, or until golden.
